First, a backup
Before clearing anything with any cleaner, make a Time Machine backup. It takes minutes and makes every cleanup decision stress-free.
The app won't open
On Apple Silicon, right-click the app and choose Open the first time. If macOS still blocks it, check System Settings → Privacy & Security for the "Open Anyway" prompt.
Scan finds nothing
On a healthy Mac that's already been cleaned, that's a good thing. MacVoid reports what's actually there — it doesn't inflate numbers to sell you a subscription.
Something was deleted that I needed
MacVoid only clears files that are safe to remove (caches, logs, leftover packages), and it moves everything to Trash first so you can restore it. Check Trash — if it's gone, restore from your Time Machine backup.
